Tiger Developments has sold a site in York with planningpermission for a residential scheme to Leeds-based Modernistiq. The plot, which forms part of the wider 600-home HeworthGasworks regeneration site, has consent for 62 apartments,including a mix of one, two, and three-bedroom apartments.
Modernistiq will now look to build out the “high-end”apartment scheme which will sit on Eboracum Way in York.
Tiger Developments had previously developed part of the Heworth Gasworks site, having acquired a 2.3-acre plot todeliver a Travelodge hotel and a drive-thru Costa Coffee.
Seb Horst, development manager at Tiger Developments, said:“This development promises to be an excellent addition to thewider regeneration of this part of York. Alongside nearby gasworks, transforming this vacant brownfield site into a highquality, sustainable building will provide well-designed homesfor the people of York and help to create a whole new community.”
Steve Wright, group director at Modernistiq Group, said: “We believe York is a fantastic location for owner occupiers andinvestors alike. With it being part of the golden triangle we seelarge demand for high end specifcation apartments, offering great value for money.”
BNP Paribas acted for Tiger Developments whilst Modernistiq represented itself.
