Host Student Housing has completed three new student accommodation properties prior to the new academic year starting.

A trio of student accommodation buildings have been completed in Southampton, Leicester and Colchester, with all three providing over 900 student beds, which Host will continue to manage and operate.

Worth £91m (GDV), the three sites have been developed by Host Student Housing Ltd. (associate company of Tiger Developments Ltd. & O’Flynn Group),

Southampton was forward funded by Railpen (the railway industry pension fund), their first investment in the student sector. The Colchester and Leicester properties were self-financed, together with loan facilities totalling £25m from Puma Property Finance and will be retained building upon Host’s existing portfolio of student accommodation.

John Nesbitt, managing director at Host Student Housing, said: “Delivering new, modern and, most importantly, safe accommodation for students has been our priority in 2020. I’m very proud that our team has completed these developments on time despite the significant obstacles presented by the pandemic and that we are ready to provide more students a safe, friendly and high-quality environment in which to start their studies.”
